Transforming the Energy System at COP21

As part of the COP21 United Nations climate talks in Paris, Transnational Institute (TNI) will host a seminar on transforming the energy system. Antonia will join a panel of distinguished speakers.

Moving California Beyond Oil Summit

The program includes lunch with a keynote address, panel discussions, and an evening reception, where you can engage with other leaders from the grant-making, business, outdoor recreation, political, environmental, academic, and public health sectors.

The BP Blowout 5 Years Later

Special screening of the documentary film, The Great Invisible, followed by a conversation with journalists, including Antonia, who have covered the oil and gas industry and the Gulf of Mexico disaster.

The 2015 Roy Ray Speaker

Antonia has been invited to be the 2015 Roy Ray Speaker at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky. She will give a lecture entitled, “The End of Oil.”

Black Tide Lecture

Antonia will conduct a lecture and discussion via skype of her book, BLACK TIDE, and the latest developments in the BP Gulf oil spill for political anthropology students at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, the flagship campus of the UH system.

Community Forum on Crude by Rail

This is a community event to discuss the dangerous crude by rail project proposed by Valero in Benicia, how it affects the Bay Area and the entire state, and ways to organize to fight it.
