The University was created by the United Nations general assembly in 1981 with a mandate to provide higher learning opportunities for those interested in peace and conflict resolution studies. The Student Executive Committee is seen as an extension of this mandate for organizing activism and educational events for the students of University of Peace and its surrounding community.The purpose of the conference is to examine the intersection between economic relationships and human rights. We will be focusing on issues that are both international and local to Central America.
Antonia will be the keynote speaker at this event.
