Friday, July 18th 2008
Washington, DC
Antonia will be giving the plenary presentation on the night of Saturday, July 19th.
Peace Action is the country’s largest grassroots peace and disarmament organization with over 100,000 individual members as well as chapters and affiliates in 30 states. The National Congress is Peace Action’s bi-annual gathering where hundreds of peace and justice activists from across the country convene to plan the organization’s future campaign initiatives, while strengthening each personal peace agenda through inspiring dialogue, workshops, training, panels, and speakers. In the spirit of Peace Action’s core mission and values stretching over 50 years, the National Congress will also feature a student and youth organizing summit convened by our Student Peace Action Network (SPAN). This year’s National Congress and SPAN Summit will help Peace Action make peace a priority in this election year and beyond.
